The identities of seven people who died when an Air Force fighter jet crashed at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the capital, were unknown. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police has identified five of them through DNA testing.

A message from the CID’s media wing said on Thursday that the identities of the five victims have been identified through DNA testing at the CID’s forensic lab. However, detailed information was not provided. An Air Force fighter jet crashed into a two-story building at Milestone School and College last Monday afternoon. The Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) reported that 31 people were killed and 165 were injured in the incident. Later, two more people who were injured in the incident died. Thus, the total number of deaths in the incident has reached 33.
Meanwhile, based on the updated information received by 10:30 am today, the Health Department said that the number of people killed in the incident has risen to 29. Later, one more person died at the National Burn Institute. According to their estimates, the number of deaths in the incident has risen to 30. According to the Health Department, 56 of the injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. Of these, 44 are undergoing treatment at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. 11 are undergoing treatment at CMH. One is undergoing treatment at Shaheed Mansur Ali Medical College Hospital.
